Job Title: Tax Manager M&A

Reckitt is seeking an experienced Tax Manager M&A to lead on the Group's approach to Indirect Taxes. The successful candidate will be a proven leader, responsible for overseeing all aspects of indirect tax, including compliance, strategy, planning and advisory services on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a central team of SMEs and support the wider Tax team.
  • Define and implement roles and responsibilities within the Group supporting delivery on Indirect Taxes and interactions with the wider stakeholder group including tax team, finance, supply, procurement, regulatory and sustainability teams.
  • Define and pursue strategies which reduce the company's overall indirect tax risk profile, improve cash flow and ensure a standardised process for compliances with all relevant taxes.
  • Partner with the business to provide indirect tax advisory expertise and leadership on complex international transactions and supply chains, business activities, M&A transactions, internal restructurings, and business expansions.
  • Establish a close and trusted network of external advisors and industry contacts.
  • Identify indirect tax risk areas and ensure appropriate controls are in place to address these and ensure the effectiveness of these controls is regularly reviewed.
  • Manage the global relationship with the co-source provider(s) for indirect tax work, working collaboratively to ensure all filings are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Ensure appropriate Indirect Tax governance framework is in place and operating effectively.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure effective and timely management of indirect tax matters as part of the Group's external audit.
  • Manage indirect tax audits and disputes, including developing a strategy to manage/mitigate as far as possible, and liaise with tax authorities globally as required.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and case law related to indirect taxes, assessing the impact on the business and advising on necessary actions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the global indirect tax team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Support the SVP Global Head of Tax in tax risk management and reporting to the board and audit committee.
Requirements:
  • At least ten years' experience, with a strong background in leading on international tax matters in a large multinational public company – Essential.
  • Tax IT literate and technology focused – Essential.
  • Experience of setting and delivering a global transaction taxes strategy in a large, complex organisation, managing budgets, driving quantifiable value – Essential.
  • Project management, Accounting Principles, Financial systems, Improve business processes, Tax Law, Tax Compliance.
