NHS Grampian is seeking a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to join our expanding team at Dr Gray's Hospital, Elgin. As a key member of our department, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality maternity and gynaecological services, working closely with our team of 26 Consultant Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

We are committed to providing excellent patient care, and our hospital prides itself on delivering essential services and advocating for patients to be safely cared for close to home. Our comprehensive Gynaecology and Maternity service includes midwifery-led intrapartum care, and we are investing in a new model of Consultant-led Obstetric services, supported by £6.6 million funding from the Scottish Government.

As a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, you will have the opportunity to take forward service and academic development, with the support of a thriving and friendly department. You will be encouraged to accommodate sub-specialty interests in NHS Grampian and within North of Scotland networks.

To be considered for this role, you should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register from date of interview. Alternatively, applicants should possess a CESR / CESR (CP). Applications from doctors with appropriate specialist training and experience who are not listed on the GMC Specialist Register can be considered for a Locum Consultant post (up to 12 months) if no substantive Consultant appointment is made.
