HEAVY GOODS VEHICLE OPERATOR

WORKING DAYS: MONDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY

COMPENSATION: £22.00 PAYE PER HOUR

People Solutions is seeking a Heavy Goods Vehicle Operator for our esteemed client.

Pay Structure

  • Weekdays - £17.00
  • Saturdays - £20.00
  • Sundays - £22.00

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operating Class 1 vehicles
  • Conducting 15-minute vehicle inspections
  • Loading and unloading goods onto the tail lift
  • Securing cargo appropriately
  • Managing both local and long-haul routes
  • Accurately following GPS navigation
  • Completing necessary documentation
  • Maintaining communication with depot personnel
  • Interacting with clients in a courteous manner

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of six months experience in Class 1 driving
  • Possession of a valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
  • Valid CPC and DIGI cards
  • No more than three penalty points for minor violations
  • No serious endorsements (e.g., DD, DR)
  • Proficient in handling stacks and trays of goods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Over 12 months of Class 1 driving experience
  • Clean UK Category CE Driving Licence

No training will be provided for this position.
