Job Title: CNC Engineer

Job Summary:

EVEREC is seeking a skilled CNC Engineer to join our team in the EV/Automotive sector. As a CNC Engineer, you will be responsible for manufacturing prototypes and components using 3 & 4 axis CNC machinery. You will work closely with engineers and project teams to meet prototype needs and provide technical advice and troubleshooting assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing: Manufacture components in line with design requirements through programming, setting, and operating 3 & 4 axis CNC machinery.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers and project teams to meet prototype needs.
  • Inspection: Perform first article inspection using metrology and inspection equipment.
  • Technical Advice: Provide technical advice and troubleshooting assistance to engineers on design feasibility for in-house machining and provide proposals for design changes where required.
  • Equipment Operation: Use CNC millturn and VMC capability plus other engineering equipment to achieve delivery.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure equipment operability via inspection and preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Workshop Environment: Responsibility for ensuring a safe and controlled workshop environment.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Tooling and Material Properties: Excellent understanding of tooling and material properties within machining applications.
  • Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of manufacturing production and engineering processes.
  • CAD/CAM: Experience using CAD/CAM.
  • CNC Programming: Proven track record of programming and operating CNC machinery.
  • 2D/3D Drawing Interpretation: Can read and work from 2D drawings and 3D models.
  • Tolerances: Can work to tight engineering tolerances.
  • NPI Processes: Be able to contribute to the implementation and development of NPI processes and techniques.
  • First Article Inspection: Knowledge of First Article Inspection techniques and processes.
