Job Summary

Mondelēz International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to lead our In-Plant Logistics team at the Cadbury manufacturing site in Bournville. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of materials and goods within the plant, while also providing leadership and guidance to a team of approximately 30 Logistics operatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure excellent standards across the In-Plant Logistics areas, including the management of inventory, assets, and supply chain operations.
  • Provide 24/7 leadership cover and be the main point of contact for any supply chain-related issues that arise during your shift.
  • Work closely with the wider supply network, offsite warehouses, and 3PLs to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Manage a team of Logistics operatives, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
  • Handover a successful shift to the next Shift Lead on site, ensuring clear communications through a DMS meeting structure and written handovers.

Requirements

  • Background in Manufacturing or In-Plant Logistics, with a strong understanding of inventory management, asset management, and supply chain operations.
  • Knowledge of In-Plant Logistics assets, such as robots and palletisers, and experience with SAP (ERP systems) would be an advantage.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of Logistics operatives.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
