Store Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stores Assistant to join our team at the Department of Engineering's Central site in Trumpington Street.
Key Responsibilities:- Receiving and checking goods on arrival, including verifying quantities and condition
- Booking in deliveries and performing regular stock counts to ensure accurate inventory levels
- Supporting deliveries and collections, loading/unloading, and delivering stock to various Departmental sites across Cambridge
- Operating Forklift equipment to assist with the onsite movement of goods and equipment
- Providing excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction in each transaction
- GCSE Maths and English/NVQ level 2 or equivalent
- Good knowledge of stores maintenance and/or purchasing
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience working with purchasing systems and basic IT skills
- Clean and current UK manual vehicle driving licence
