Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Secondary school in Haringey. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning journey of students and contributing to a positive and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities, promoting student engagement and motivation.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students, fostering their academic and personal growth, and helping to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist with classroom management, ensuring a safe and organized learning environment that promotes student well-being.
  • Help assess student progress and provide feedback to teachers, contributing to the development of effective learning strategies.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK-based educational setting, with a strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • Level 3 qualification in Education and Training or a related field, with a focus on supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and other school staff.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to supporting the learning journey of students, with a focus on promoting academic achievement and personal growth.
  • SEN qualification and experience would be desirable, as would experience assisting secondary-based students.
