About the Role:

Zurich Insurance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineering Specialist to join our team as a Field-Based Engineer. As a Lift and Crane Inspection Expert, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our clients' equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out hands-on statutory inspections of lifts and cranes, providing expert opinions on a wide range of equipment.
  • Report back to clients using a rugged laptop, and issue electronically to our clients.
  • Work closely with our multi-disciplined inspection team to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of relevant legislation and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Either a time served or Modern Apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Hands-on experience in a relevant engineering discipline, with a background in working with lifts and/or crane equipment.
  • A full valid UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work paid overtime as required.
