Yard Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Person to join our client's team at a leading plant equipment hire company. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the yard, ensuring equipment is clean, organized, and ready for hire.

• Inspect and clean equipment upon return to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Organize and maintain the yard to ensure a safe and efficient workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment for customers, utilizing various types of plant equipment.
• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on equipment, utilizing problem-solving skills to resolve issues.
• Conduct inventory checks and report any discrepancies to management.

• Previous experience in a similar role or in the construction/plant hire industry is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to operate and maintain various types of plant equipment, with a valid driver's license and forklift license.
• Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects, with excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
