Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Safety Officer to join our team at Talent Recruitment Group Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting a safety culture within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance:
    • Manage the AOC and ATO Audit Plan and lead auditor for these approvals
    • Undertake internal audits and audits of sub-contractor organizations, primarily for the AOC and ATO
    • Oversight of the management and closure of findings and observations to ensure corrective and root cause corrections are implemented
    • Prepare compliance monitoring performance data
    • Generate audit checklists in Centrik, particularly for AOC and ATO audits
    • Support the approval of providers primarily to support operations and training
    • Be proactive in addressing compliance issues to all company management and personnel
    • Provide advice on compliance issues
    • Support external auditors
    • Deputize for the Head of Safety and Compliance when they are not available for the AOC and ATO
  • Safety:
    • Promote and live the behaviors that demonstrate safety is at the core of everything we do
    • Work with the Head of Safety and Compliance and Safety Reporting Manager to promote aviation safety across all activities
    • Carry out investigations and associated root cause analysis related to operational and training safety cases
    • Support the process of identifying, documenting, and managing hazards through risk assessments and associated actions
    • Support the provision of safety and safety performance data and the monitoring of Safety Performance Indicators
    • Support the Safety Reporting Manager in the management of Safety Action Groups
    • Support the production of Safety Documentation, Information, Notices, and Newsletters
    • Support the development and provision of safety training, including support to recurrent training in conjunction with other safety department staff
    • Provide advice on safety matters

Requirements:

  • Have a reasonable understanding of CAA Regulations with regard to Operations and particularly those elements related to the Management System
  • Trained Auditor, experienced in undertaking internal audits covering CAA/EASA Regulations
  • Experience in the investigation of occurrences (Trained Investigator)
  • Experienced in the use of Centrik for Safety and Compliance management
  • At least 2 years of experience in a safety or compliance role for a helicopter company
  • At least 5 years of experience in either flight or ground operations, maintenance, or continuing airworthiness management for a helicopter company
  • Located within commuting distance of Biggin Hill

Essential Qualities:

  • Have the qualities to improve the safety culture and gain the respect of staff in the way they handle situations
  • Have analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Be effective at oral and written communication
  • Have an understanding of human and organizational factors
  • At least 5 years of experience in either flight or ground operations, maintenance, or continuing airworthiness management for an aviation-related company
  • Willing to undertake the required training to gain competency in safety and compliance tasks
  • Located within commuting distance of either Biggin Hill
