About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Custody Paramedic to join our team at HCRG Care Group. As a Custody Paramedic, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality healthcare to individuals detained by the police or other agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and provide care to individuals in custody, ensuring their health and well-being are prioritized.
  • Provide healthcare interventions to manage minor illnesses or injuries, and refer individuals to further medical attention when necessary.
  • Undertake forensic examinations of individuals in police care, recording and documenting any injuries or evidence.
  • Collect specimens as required under legislation and provide written statements as needed.
  • Attend courts or tribunals as required, providing expert testimony and supporting the legal process.
  • Maintain accurate and complete clinical records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to data protection protocols.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2 years' minimum experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a custody or forensic environment.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge, with the ability to work autonomously and make quick decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care and adhering to professional standards and guidelines.
