Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group support to pupils with SEMH needs
  • Liaise with teachers, educational psychologists, and other professionals to develop and implement support plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery to ensure pupils receive a tailored education
  • Support pupils with challenging behaviours, using positive reinforcement techniques and de-escalation strategies
Requirements:
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply
