Position Title: Software Developer (KDB+/Q)

Overview:

We are seeking experienced Software Developers with expertise in KDB+/Q to contribute to a leading global investment management firm. This firm is renowned for its innovative quantitative strategies aimed at delivering superior returns across international financial markets.

Location: Flexible work arrangements available.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the data needs of investment research teams to provide tailored solutions.
  • Design, implement, test, and optimize kdb+/Q data pipelines and services.
  • Collaborate with data operations and platform developers to enhance our data infrastructure and minimize technical debt.
  • Engage with technologists and investment researchers to ensure our reference data services adapt to evolving requirements.
  • Draft and review technical documentation, including requirements specifications and design proposals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of development experience with KDB+/Q.
  • Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing, testing, and optimizing data-intensive applications.
  • Familiarity with financial data analysis and organization.
  • Proficiency in any of the following: SQL, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, C++, KDB+/Q, Rust.
