Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Specialist to deliver high-quality ultrasound services to patients within our healthcare system, ensuring a safe and professional clinical atmosphere.
Your role will involve providing a compassionate and confidential diagnostic service, prioritizing patient dignity and privacy at all times.
While you will typically operate with minimal direct supervision, you will maintain regular communication with the Superintendent Radiographers in the department.
Key Responsibilities
Opportunities for ultrasound specialists are available in our dynamic and diverse healthcare environment. We are committed to ongoing professional development and education, and we actively support the expansion of roles in line with departmental needs.
Positions are available for HCPC registered ultrasound specialists, and we welcome discussions regarding preferred working hours and days during the interview process.
This role offers an exciting chance to engage in a varied rotational position across multiple facilities.
Required Skills and Experience
Candidates should possess proficiency in general ultrasound techniques, including transvaginal imaging and obstetric ultrasound. While DQASS registration for combined screening is preferred, training and certification can be provided in-house for the right candidate.
Experience in additional ultrasound imaging areas such as musculoskeletal, testes, groins, hernias, neonatal hip screening, early pregnancy, and vascular procedures is highly desirable. Successful candidates can expect to have their skills nurtured and developed as needed.
Candidates may also have opportunities to expand their roles to include sub-specialties based on service requirements and departmental skill mix changes.
Proficiency in Welsh is considered advantageous for this position; however, applications from both English and Welsh speakers are encouraged.
