Job Title: Technical Quality Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Quality Manager to join our team at Home Group. As a Technical Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical quality of our schemes, working collaboratively with our Development and Delivery colleagues to advise on the technical and quality aspects of the design, specifications, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the technical quality of our schemes, ensuring that all works meet Building Safety requirements and are sufficiently described in documentation and drawings.
  • Conduct regular inspections and reporting at key build stages, including up to handover and at the end of the defect liability period.
  • Attend pre-construction site meetings and other technical project meetings to provide technical and quality input.
  • Ensure homes are delivered on time and programme risks are managed, working closely with project teams to carry out regular reviews on contractors' progress of works against programmes.
  • Monitor and record inspections by Building Control and NHBC/Warranty, tracking issues raised and ensuring they are rectified.

Requirements:

  • Experience of the full development process with a residential developer, contractor, or consultant in the construction or housebuilding industry.
  • Good technical knowledge in identifying defects, snags, and general construction quality in new homes.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of regulations, codes, and standards, including materials, trades, methods, and legal requirements.
  • Relevant degree (or equivalent professional experience) alongside a professional accreditation such as RICS, CIOB, ICWCI, RIBA, or equivalent.
  • Detailed understanding of Health & Safety regulations, with experience of ensuring sites and assets remain safe.

What We Offer:

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Hybrid role, working on our development sites, from one of our national offices, Glasgow, Maryport, or Kendal, and from home.
  • Full current driving licence and access to a vehicle for work, with mileage paid.
