Clinical Health Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical health psychology and experience working with cancer patients.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist psychological input to patients referred to our Cancer Psychological Therapies service. This will include individual, family, and group therapy sessions, as well as supporting the service in managing its waiting list.
The candidate will also be responsible for providing Level 2 Clinical Discussion Groups for Cancer Nurse Specialists and contributing to delivering Level 2 training across NEL.
Additionally, the successful candidate will offer staff support and consultation to members of the wider oncology, haematology, and palliative care teams at BHRUT.

RequirementsThe successful candidate will have a doctoral level training or equivalent in Clinical/Counselling Psychology or equivalent psychotherapy qualification. They will also have HCPC registration or registration to an equivalent psychotherapy body.
The candidate will have a strong knowledge of RIO system and clinical functions related to this, such as risk planning, clinical harm reviews, and care planning. They will also have the ability to work with autonomy and flexibility within the bounds of the job description and professional competence.
Desirable qualifications include experience working within psycho-oncology teams, teaching, training, and/or supervision, and delivering groups and/or workshops.
