Location: Cornwall
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday
Contract: Fixed-term contract for 12 months
Salary: £42,000

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide medium to long-term planning to support the extraction of mineral assets
• Create long-term schedules for waste dumps
• Design and optimize pit and dump operations to ensure efficient resource utilization and meet production and quality targets
• Support operating schedules and budget processes
• Collaborate with mining and production managers and professionals in operations and projects
• Train site engineers in short-term and mid-term mine planning
• Ensure compliance with the PERC code for public reporting of reserves

Requirements:
• Excellent IT skills and familiarity with major mine planning software packages, such as GEOVIA, Datamine, or RPM Global
• Knowledge of GIS and surveying is an advantage
• Degree-level education in Science or Engineering, preferably Mining Engineering or Mining Geology
• Direct experience working in a mining environment
• Production experience necessary, with a few years of relevant experience in mine planning and design
• Intention to register as an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer following professional training and experience
• Full driving license
