Position Overview

Salary will be adjusted for employees working fewer than 37 hours per week.

East Dunbartonshire Leisure & Culture Trust is dedicated to providing exceptional leisure and cultural services on behalf of the local council. Our organization oversees several popular leisure facilities, including multiple leisure centers.

In response to the ongoing growth and enhancement of our services, we are seeking to fill the following role to strengthen our current team.

1 x Permanent Part-Time Facility Operations Support Specialist

The primary responsibility will involve maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of leisure facilities.

General Requirements for All Positions:

Candidates will be expected to work outside of standard hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Background checks will be required.

Background Check Requirements

The following criteria apply to all roles within East Dunbartonshire Council where background checks are mandatory:

For positions classified as Regulated Work under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, successful applicants will need to join the relevant background check scheme or undergo an update check before employment confirmation.

Please be aware that successful candidates will be responsible for the cost of the necessary checks, which will be deducted from their initial salary payment.

In certain situations, payments may be deducted in installments from an employee's wages after starting employment, subject to HR Services Lead approval.

If an employee departs before the payment is fully deducted, the total amount will be taken from their final salary.

This criteria also applies to current employees of East Dunbartonshire Council applying for positions requiring background checks.
