Job Title: Children and Youth Programme Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Children and Youth Programme Manager to join our team at Parkinson's Body and Mind. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our children and youth programmes, working closely with our instructors, advisory board members, and physical therapy consultant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain training materials for instructors, ensuring they are up-to-date and effective.
- Provide training and ongoing support for new and existing instructors, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality programmes.
- Build relationships with instructors at programme sites, developing a schedule to visit classes and engage with participants and instructors.
- Maintain an updated programme outline as part of our marketing package, growing and expanding programme offerings and locations to meet the needs of people with Parkinson's Disease.
- Lead the rollout of new programme sites, registering participants and working with instructors to ensure a smooth transition.
- Take photos and/or videos for social media when visiting programme sites, showcasing the impact of our work.
- Get trained on assessment software and attend semi-annual assessments, ensuring we are meeting our programme goals.
- Work with our PT Consultant and physical therapy students to schedule assessment dates at programme sites.
- Attend Parkinson's Body and Mind events as schedule allows, representing our organisation and building relationships with stakeholders.
- Hold weekly progress meetings with our Executive Director, ensuring we are on track to meet our programme goals.
Requirements:
- Experience in programme management, preferably in a non-profit or healthcare setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on programme delivery and outcomes.
- Knowledge of Parkinson's Disease and its impact on children and youth, with a passion for making a difference in their lives.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
