Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Art Teacher to join our team at a well-regarded secondary school in Suffolk. As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering creative and inspiring art lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning and Delivery: Develop comprehensive lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and national standards, ensuring a engaging and inclusive learning environment.
  • Student Assessment and Feedback: Mark and assess students' work, providing constructive feedback to support their artistic growth and development.
  • Classroom Management: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation, while effectively managing classroom behaviour.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with staff and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an Art Teacher in a UK-based school.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Art and Design, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
