Role Overview
The Private Markets Senior Research Analyst will be responsible for a variety of critical functions within the investment team at Isio. This role involves:
- Identifying innovative investment opportunities and preparing comprehensive materials for client presentations.
- Conducting thorough due diligence sessions with fund managers to establish fund ratings and ensure continuous oversight.
- Engaging in investment committee discussions, providing insightful updates on market perspectives.
- Participating in client interactions as a subject matter expert in research.
- Guiding junior team members in executing research initiatives effectively.
- Delivering educational sessions to colleagues on relevant topics.
- Exploring the potential transition into a portfolio analyst position, focusing on fund of funds products.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Progressing towards the CFA designation or possessing equivalent qualifications.
- A minimum of 4-7 years of experience in the financial services sector, particularly in Private Equity manager research, with a solid grasp of the asset management landscape.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities and communication skills, including proficiency in presentations.
- Preferred experience in managing day-to-day portfolio activities, including portfolio construction and implementation for a Fund of Funds private markets portfolio, along with contributing to strategic investment decisions regarding asset allocation and manager selection.
- Preferred background in daily portfolio management tasks such as risk assessment, exposure analysis, performance evaluation, and reporting.
- Preferred experience in collaborating with diverse teams across functions, including Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, Data Providers, Distribution Partners, Fund Managers, and Technology.
