Warehouse Operative Job Description

At Adecco, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and process incoming shipments, accurately recording and storing goods in the warehouse.
  • Efficiently break down pallets and allocate products to optimize warehouse space and racking.
  • Pick and prepare orders, ensuring accurate completion of paperwork and timely dispatch.
  • Coordinate the despatch of orders, liaising with couriers and transporters to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Handle customer collections, ensuring proof of collection and handling of cash or cheques.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, hygiene, and general site duties, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Assist with stock checks and preparing/despatching samples or bottles.
  • Operate forklifts and complete daily checks to ensure safe equipment operation.
Requirements:
  • Previous warehouse experience, with a strong understanding of inventory management and logistics.
  • Good computer literacy, with proficiency in relevant software and systems.
  • Strong numerical and communication skills, both written and spoken, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused mindset and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Forklift experience is beneficial, but not essential.
