Consultant Physician

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Consultant Physician to join our dynamic team.

As a key member of the medical staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care within our renowned healthcare facility.

• Deliver exceptional clinical care to patients, encompassing diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of medical conditions.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff, to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, adhering to strict confidentiality protocols.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay abreast of the latest medical advancements and best practices.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• A recognized Medical Qualification (MBBS or equivalent).
• MRCP Part 1 and Part 2.
• Full GMC Registration with a Licence to Practice.
• ATLS/ALS/APLA certification.

We are seeking candidates with:

• At least 4 years of post-graduate training, including a minimum of two years in a relevant specialty or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated operative skills commensurate with a middle-grade level.
• A strong understanding of clinical decision-making and the ability to recognize when senior support is required.
• Experience working within the NHS in a substantive position.

In addition to your clinical expertise, you will possess:

• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• The ability to plan strategically and exercise sound judgment in challenging situations.

Experience in organizing and delivering teaching would be highly advantageous.
