Position Overview
We are seeking two dedicated Supportive Care Assistants to provide essential assistance to a professional individual who requires mobility support. The role involves various responsibilities, including personal care, assistance with bathroom needs, mobility support, dressing, meal preparation, and light household tasks.
Work Schedule:
The available hours total 12 per week, structured as follows:
- Monday to Friday mornings: 7am - 8am
- Tuesday to Saturday evenings: 8:30pm - 9:30pm
- Friday evenings: 4:30pm - 5pm
- Every Sunday: Lunch and Tea time
Ideal candidates will be diligent, dependable, adaptable, and trustworthy, with a preference for non-smokers. The two assistants will be responsible for covering the outlined hours and providing support during absences due to holidays or illness. A flexible approach to scheduling may be discussed during the interview process. A fondness for cats is essential, as the individual has a pet cat.
Previous care experience is advantageous, particularly with the use of mobility aids; however, comprehensive in-house training will be provided. Access to a vehicle is preferred, as some duties may occur during evening hours.
In accordance with the Equality Act 2010, a genuine occupational requirement exists for this position, necessitating a female worker to ensure privacy and dignity.
Background checks and references will be required for this role, with associated costs covered by the local authority.
