Plumbing Course Lecturer

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a variety of Plumbing courses;
- Engage in innovative teaching, learning, and assessment practices;
- Mentor and evaluate students in both academic and practical settings;
- Collaborate with the Estate Management team to create customer-oriented, real-world learning experiences;
- Maintain precise documentation of student progress in both academic and practical environments.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Plumbing;
- A minimum of 3 years of industry experience in domestic and commercial plumbing systems;
- Proficiency in central heating systems, including traditional and combination boilers;
- Experience working with Gas (Gas Safe certification required);
- Familiarity with current Corgi Regulations;
- GCSE grade C (4/5) in Mathematics and English;
- PGCE or a commitment to pursue this qualification;
- Awareness of equality, diversity, and inclusion in educational and workplace settings;
- Recent relevant occupational experience; and
- Enhanced DBS check.
We encourage applications from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) as well as current industry professionals who may not possess a teaching qualification. New hires will participate in a Lecturer Development Programme designed to provide tailored support and training based on individual experience and needs. This programme includes comprehensive induction sessions related to all college systems and processes, mentorship from an assigned curriculum mentor, and regular one-on-one support from the Quality team. Industry professionals without a teaching qualification will receive assistance in obtaining a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training, with opportunities to pursue a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
