Babcock International is seeking a Director of Skynet Future Solutions to lead the development of future solutions within Skynet, ensuring cohesion of activities across a range of exciting and challenging cutting-edge projects.

As a Director of Skynet Future Solutions, you will be responsible for managing a multidiscipline team to design technical and commercial solutions that support customer requirements. You will also be responsible for delivery of work packages to time, cost, and quality, as well as planning and resourcing to support design and delivery of solutions and concept designs.

This role requires a strong relationship with our customer and user community, promoting capability and agility to meet mission needs. You will also be responsible for building a strong team and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week, and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home. Regular travel to Hawthorn and Oakhanger (Bordon, Hampshire) and Colerne (Chippenham, Wiltshire) is also required.

Qualifications for the Director of Skynet Future Solutions

  • Bachelors Degree in a relevant Business or Engineering discipline or equivalent relevant professional experience. Business Masters degree preferable.
  • Must hold a valid UK Driving License.
