As a Logistics Compliance and Operations Manager, reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of an effective and economical warehousing solution tailored to the operational needs of our facility.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring daily operational objectives, costs, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to align with company standards and customer service expectations.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, including Health & Safety policies, BRC standards, and HACCP protocols.
- Collaborating closely with Site Managers to address mutual challenges and enhance departmental efficiencies.
- Planning staff schedules and resource allocation to meet operational demands while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Upholding the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness across the facility.
- Participating in management meetings and preparing reports and statistics as required.
- Enforcing departmental discipline, including attendance, conduct, and performance, in accordance with company policies.
- Overseeing the implementation of the company’s absence management procedures and conducting return-to-work discussions.
- Engaging in proactive performance management initiatives and process improvement strategies to elevate warehouse operations.
- Delivering comprehensive training on Safety, Health, Environment, Quality, and compliance standards to new and existing team members.
- Coordinating all compliance-related events and updates for staff.
- Providing coaching and guidance to shift management and supervisory teams to ensure adherence to audit requirements.
- Conducting site audits to verify compliance with Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and Allergen standards.
- Managing site facility and maintenance contractor requirements, as well as compliance documentation and corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Proven management experience in a warehouse environment.
- Strong people management skills.
- Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
- Experience with warehouse auditing and BRC compliance.
- Knowledge of operational methods and procedures in the FMCG sector.
- Demonstrated ability to meet Key Performance Indicators.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems and high-level IT skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
