About the Role
The successful candidate will lead a large, highly motivated cleaning team to ensure a high standard of cleaning service is delivered to Queen Mary's buildings.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced leader to manage a team of cleaning operatives, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service that meets the needs of our students, staff, and visitors.
About You
- You should be passionate about delivering a first-class cleaning service to Queen Mary.
- Hold a vocational qualification in cleaning and support services or equivalent relevant cleaning experience.
- You should have previous experience of leading a cleaning team.
- You should be able to plan and organize the daily duties of the service teams, producing and monitoring rotas to ensure a fair and effective distribution of work.
- To monitor the performance of staff and contribute to annual appraisals.
- To ensure the reporting and recording of staff absence in accordance with Queen Mary's absence management policies.
- To ensure all staff are adequately trained to carry out cleaning and waste removal tasks to an acceptable level.
