Role Summary:
We are in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teacher to become a vital part of our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating engaging lessons that are specifically tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students.

Your role will be instrumental in creating a supportive learning atmosphere that encourages personal development, independence, and academic success.


Primary Duties:
  • Design and deliver customized lessons that address the varied learning requirements of students with SEND.
  • Develop and execute Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for each student, ensuring that objectives are clear, measurable, and attainable.
  • Collaborate closely with teaching assistants and other support personnel to guarantee that all students receive adequate assistance.
  • Promote a safe and welcoming classroom environment where students feel appreciated and respected.
  • Track and evaluate student progress, providing consistent feedback to students, guardians, and relevant parties.
  • Engage with colleagues, families, and external organizations to support the comprehensive development of each student.
  • Participate in ongoing professional growth opportunities to remain current with best practices in SEND education.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
  • Experience in working with children and young individuals with SEND, particularly within an educational setting.
  • A solid understanding of various SEND conditions, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN), and other learning challenges.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • A patient, compassionate, and resilient teaching approach, dedicated to inclusive education.
