We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Emerging Markets Credit Strategist to join our Credit Strategy & Research (CS&R) team. As a key member of our Global Emerging Markets team, you will be responsible for driving the development of differentiated EM insights and opinions, leading the publication of thematic EM research, and building high-impact models and quantitative tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of emerging markets, including economic, financial, and political trends.
  • Lead the development of EM research and analysis, including cross-asset class and region/sector-specific studies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior individuals from various business cultures, including investors, issuers, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee the work and technical upskilling of junior analysts, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute to the team's success.
  • Contribute to the general management of the team and its profile within Moody's.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience covering Emerging Markets at a reputable financial institution.
  • Passion for data and quantitative analytical techniques.
  • Good understanding of the fixed income asset class and the role of credit ratings.
  • Strong analytical skills, intellectually curious, and a desire to solve complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to maintain relationships with senior individuals from a variety of business cultures.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Demonstrable passion for Emerging Markets and a willingness to travel.
  • Self-starter with a positive approach to further professional development.
  • Familiarity with relevant programming languages (e.g. Python/SQL + Pandas, Numpy, Scikit etc.).
  • Experience of using data visualization software (PowerBI/Tableau etc.).
