The Role

We are seeking an experienced Optometrist to join our multi-disciplinary team, working alongside consultants to provide pre and post-operative consultations. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the suitability of patients for treatment, carrying out examinations associated with refractive, cataract, glaucoma, and retinal surgeries, and providing health advice and support to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough examinations to assess patient suitability for treatment
  • Run acute and follow-up clinics for patients post-surgery
  • Provide health advice and support to patients
  • Offer first-line clinical advice to patients and refer to medical practitioners as necessary

Requirements

  • Current GOC registration as a fully qualified optometrist
  • Extensive experience working as an optometrist in a refractive, high street, or hospital environment
  • Experience using patient administration systems and electronic medical record systems
  • Experience working to conversion targets and other KPIs within Vision Correction
