Role Overview:
The Manufacturing Manager will ensure that all operations are executed correctly, efficiently, and promptly, in line with product specifications and quality standards. This role includes implementing operational management systems, processes, and best practices that promote both individual and organizational well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team with a strong focus on people development, utilizing excellent communication skills, delegation expertise, and the ability to inspire.
- Drive cultural transformations and manage transitions, fostering a positive, safety-first workplace environment.
- Ensure production departments are adequately equipped to meet demand and deliver on schedule.
- Monitor production KPIs to meet on-time delivery targets and uphold quality standards.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to maintain and repair plant equipment.
- Ensure production and quality processes are conducive to generating high-quality products.
- Organize and coordinate inventory management activities.
- Develop and implement operational enhancements to minimize non-value-added activities, reduce costs, and increase throughput.
Skills Required:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to build relationships internally and externally.
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management, including OEE and KPIs.
- Experience in budget development and oversight.
- Familiarity with business and financial principles and practices.
- Working knowledge of budgets, forecasting, and metrics.
- Excellent organizational and leadership capabilities.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Outlook.
