Senior CAD Technician Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior CAD Technician to join our in-house design team at Enable Design, a leading provider of high-quality civil and electrical engineering design services.

As a Senior CAD Technician, you will play a key role in delivering innovative solutions for infrastructure projects, working closely with clients across multiple sectors. Your expertise in Microstation and AutoCAD, as well as experience in other platforms like Revit, will be essential in preparing and updating installation drawings, creating libraries, and coordinating data from Network Rail 3D models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and update installation drawings for projects using Microstation and AutoCAD
  • Create and manage libraries of design elements
  • Coordinate and implement data from Network Rail 3D models
  • Liaise with the engineering team to develop and refine designs
  • Work within a multifunctional design and engineering services consultancy team

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in CAD design and drafting, with a strong understanding of 2D and 3D design principles
  • Experience working with Microstation and AutoCAD, with knowledge of other platforms like Revit
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced design environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience working in a design consultancy environment, with a strong understanding of BIM standards and requirements
