Senior Service and Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Service and Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Complete Security Recruitment. As a Senior Service and Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing a reliable, courteous, efficient, and effective service to our clients across London and the surrounding area.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide a high level of service and maintenance to Fire and Security systems, including fault finding and small works.
- Maintain a positive image of the company to the customer at all times, through high standards of dress and customer communications.
- Ensure that any company vehicle provided is maintained in good working order.
- Attend and contribute to regular engineers' meetings.
- Maintain a high level of personal performance and attendance.
- A flexible approach to working hours.
- Adhere to the company's Management Systems.
- Positive can-do attitude is essential as you need to be able to work under your own initiative.
- Able to service and maintain F&S systems of various sizes and complexity.
- Able to carry out system takeovers including completion of all documentation.
- Ensure that the appropriate spares, consumables, and test equipment required to complete assigned tasks are available on the company vehicle provided.
- Accurate and efficient fault reporting.
- To be an active member of the on-call team.
- At the completion of each visit, close or update the system with the call status and relevant associated documents.
- Working under your own initiative.
- Providing customer systems training.
- Provide technical support for other engineers.
- Provide fault finding support to other engineers.
- Provide training for other engineers.
- Assisting team leader with auditing of engineers and subcontractors.
- Provide good quality written details of activities completed at customers' sites.
- Report any site left non-operational following a site visit.
- Fully complete all paperwork/time sheets/electronic mail in a timely manner.
- Report near misses.
- Make recommendations for additions/replacements to improve customers' existing systems and feed this information back to the Company.
- Provide accurate information to enable quotations to be prepared for the customer.
Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety, and the Environment by following the Health & Safety at Work Act, along with all statutory health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Full Driving Licence.
- Working knowledge of MS Office specifically Excel.
- Working knowledge of a variety of F&S systems.
This role requires a sound understanding of Fire, CCTV, Access control, Intruder alarm. You will come across a vast range of systems new and old in addition to the systems detailed above as is the nature of this role.
Min 5 years experience working on F&S systems with a sound knowledge of current regulations.
Desirable: CSCS/ECS, Asbestos Awareness, IPAF, First Aid.
Location and Travel Requirements:
Operate throughout the South and East of England. Engineers are provided with a vehicle of suitable size and fuel card.
Remuneration Range and Benefits Available:
Salary: £38-40,000 year. OTE 55K 40 hours a week.
08:00-16:30
Occasional night work may be required notified in advance. Overtime available – opportunity to earn more if desired. Travel time paid after 30 min each way. 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays. Company Laptop. Company Phone. Van + fuel card.
