About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our IT Asset Management Team as an Apprentice IT Service Manager. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the management of software and hardware on the DWP estate.

As an Apprentice IT Service Manager, you will have the opportunity to gain a level 3 'Digital Support Technician' qualification while working on a permanent basis. You will be given one day a week to work on completing your apprenticeship qualification within your working hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management of software and hardware on the DWP estate
  • Work collaboratively with the IT Asset Management Team to ensure the effective management of software and hardware
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of IT asset management processes and techniques
  • Contribute to the development of IT asset management policies and procedures
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Hold a valid passport/birth certificate or residence permit
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK
  • Must have lived in the UK and/or EEA for 3 years prior to apprenticeship start date or hold some form of exemption
  • Not be in full-time education or be undertaking another apprenticeship by the apprenticeship start date
  • You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject
  • You must hold GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C/4 or equivalent or be willing to undertake and pass a functional skills assessment.
