Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate English Teacher to join our team at a fantastic inclusive mixed secondary school in Hackney East London. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students in Key Stage 3, 4, and 5, and contributing to the development of a lifelong love of language and literature.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons to students in English, Literature, and Language
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Develop and implement effective classroom management strategies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans
  • Contribute to the school's mission to provide first-rate teaching, learning, and extra-curricular activities

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT)/Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a relevant English qualification
  • Experience of teaching Key Stage 3, 4, and 5
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
  • Right to work in the UK
