Quality Assurance Technician

Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for conducting equipment calibrations and assessments, as well as organizing and overseeing the equipment inventory for both internal and external calibration processes. This role is crucial in ensuring that all calibrations are performed within designated timeframes. The technician will also provide support to laboratory staff and management to minimize equipment downtime. Occasional travel may be necessary for site laboratory visits, thus a valid driving license is required. The technician will report directly to the Regional Quality Manager for the Northern region.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular equipment calibrations and checks.
- Manage and plan equipment summaries for calibration schedules.
- Assist laboratory personnel to ensure operational efficiency.
- Travel to various site laboratories as needed.
Required Skills
The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of self-motivation and meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential, along with a solid foundation in mathematics. A full UK driving license is mandatory due to potential site visits.
Comprehensive training on our systems and calibration techniques will be provided, so a positive attitude towards acquiring new skills is highly valued.
