This role is responsible for leading patient flow and hospital coordination efforts, working closely with clinical and operational teams to deliver efficient and effective services that meet national and local performance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Day-to-day responsibility for patient flow and hospital coordination issues.
- Provide a visible clinical senior presence throughout the hospital site.
- Support and manage Site Coordinators to ensure seamless operations.
- Chair operational bed meetings to optimize resource allocation.
- Support urgent capacity meetings to address emerging issues.
- Interface with external partners to resolve patient flow challenges.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations and divisional teams to develop strategic plans.
- Experience working in an acute healthcare setting, preferably in a senior nurse, AHP, or operational role.
- Leadership and management training or qualification.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital services to around 570,000 people living in Hampshire and parts of West Berkshire, and specialist services to patients from across the country. We deliver a full range of district hospital services in various locations.
This role will operate across the Royal Hampshire County Hospital and Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, with opportunities for part-time and full-time hours. Candidates must be prepared to work at both sites, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
