Job Opportunity at Addison Project

We are seeking a skilled EC&I Designer to join our team for a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing EC&I design services for a Process Sector upgrade project in Daresbury.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce EC&I designs using AutoCAD 2D, with some 3D requirements
  • Complete site surveys to measure and investigate, determine equipment locations, cable routes, and liaise with client's engineers
  • Electrical design with respect to MMC, LV distribution, lighting, and earthing
  • Specify instrumentation with respect to pressure, temperature, flow, level, etc.
  • ATEX Directives for selection and installation of control and electrical equipment in Hazardous Areas
  • Design and produce all types of drawings & documentation, including instrument loop and electrical circuit diagrams, installation/layout diagrams for cable route and equipment location, block cable diagrams, electrical distribution diagrams, Installation Scopes of Work, material & cable schedules, and tender packages
Requirements:
  • Minimum HNC or Degree in EC&I
  • Experience in working to British and International Standards, Company Standards, Industry Regulations, EC Directives
  • Knowledge of PLC and DCS control system I/O interfacing
  • Familiarity with PC software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, and AMTECH for cable sizing & distribution system design
