We are seeking an experienced Engineering Delivery Manager to join our team at Thales Optronics and Missile Electronics (OME). As an Engineering Delivery Manager, you will play a critical role in the delivery of our engineering development projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead high-performing, multi-discipline engineering teams to generate engineering solutions that meet customer needs.
- Define the engineering delivery strategy and resource profile based on engineering estimates to ensure project delivery.
- Manage interfaces with the overall delivery strategy for the wider program.
- Work with the Program Manager to define the organization and work breakdown required to deliver to customer needs.
- Define the engineering team's work packages in terms of resources required, budgets assigned to each task, risks, and assumptions on these and the timescales to deliver within.
- Plan and prioritize activities required to deliver the solution to the contract schedule, costs, and quality.
- Manage and report on the engineering efficiency for the project.
- Identify re-use opportunities across the project.
- Act as the People Manager for the engineering team on the project and provide feedback into the people manager reviews with the functional discipline leads.
- Strong background in engineering with experience in successfully defining and leading the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
- Highly customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-moving environment with multiple parallel objectives.
- Knowledge and experience of naval products would be beneficial to this role.

This role will work closely with the Program Manager and the Project Design Authority (PDA) for the specific projects. This role will report to the Head of Engineering Delivery.
This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance.
