We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Homemaker to join our team at Brunelcare's gold standard care home in Glastonbury, Somerset.
As a Homemaker, you will play a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our residents, promoting their independence, and supporting their physical and emotional needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Encouraging residents to participate in daily activities and hobbies to stimulate their minds and bodies
- Assisting with food and drink preparation, and enhancing the mealtime experience
- Maintaining a clean and comfortable living space, and creating a sense of home for our residents
We are looking for someone who is warm, spontaneous, and able to connect with people on a personal level.
You should have a genuine interest in cooking and general housekeeping, and be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
It is essential that you are committed to ongoing learning and development, and are able to keep up-to-date with best practices in dementia care and wellbeing.
Job BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary, equivalent to 30 days of paid annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), and increasing to 33 days after 5 years' service (pro-rata).
