About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Graduate Learning Support Specialist to join our team at Veritas Education Recruitment. As a Graduate Learning Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with additional needs, including autism and learning difficulties, in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to students with additional needs in a supportive and inclusive setting.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Assist students with daily living skills, such as organization, time management, and self-advocacy.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices in support and inclusion.
Requirements
  • A degree in any field.
  • Experience working with children or young people in any capacity.
  • Advantageous experience: Tutoring, caring, SEND support, or other roles involving young people.
  • A strong understanding of the needs of neurodivergent children and young people.
  • Empathy, patience, and confidence in managing diverse learning needs.
