Nightshift Workshop Supervisor

At Petrasco Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nightshift Workshop Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the fabrication and machining projects in our workshop, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Comply with and enforce our company's Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policy and procedure requirements.
- Ensure that all personnel on the nightshift are aware of and adhere to the necessary safety protocols and procedures.
- Manage the allocation of work areas, resources, and equipment to ensure efficient production and minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement effective production schedules to meet customer deadlines and budget requirements.
- Verify the accuracy of timesheets and ensure that hours are correctly booked to the relevant job.
- Coordinate with our Quality Control team to ensure that all projects meet our quality standards.
- Inspect components prior to coating or delivery to ensure they meet our quality standards.
- Optimize coating activities to ensure the most efficient use of our facility.
- Ensure that all plant, equipment, and production tools are properly maintained, calibrated, and serviced.
- Attend meetings with other company functions to contribute to business and organizational development.
- Ensure a smooth handover of tasks and responsibilities to the dayshift team.
- Be prepared to perform additional tasks and work extended hours as required to meet customer needs.
Requirements:
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Strong HSEQ and productivity focus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
- Ability to use initiative and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- People management skills with the ability to lead and develop a team.
This is a full-time position, working 39 hours over a 5-day working week or a 4-day condensed working week with a Friday off. Hourly pay will be dependent on knowledge and previous experience.
