About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Conveyancing Assistant to join our dynamic Residential Property team at Oculus Legal Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting our Fee Earners in handling a high volume of transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review local searches against previous records and manage Help to Buy loan redemptions, coordinating with lenders as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, sales offices, and developer solicitors, escalating complex inquiries to Fee Earners.
  • Verify mortgage offers, liaise with clients and lenders to address queries, and follow up with clients for deposits and paperwork.
  • Prepare files for exchange and handle post-completion matters, including registrations.
  • Conduct search applications and close abortive files, and occasionally generate quotes and initiate files during peak periods.
  • Draft and dispatch documents to buyers' solicitors for sales.
Requirements
  • High personal standards of work and strong IT skills.
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English.
  • Minimum of 12 months previous experience within conveyancing.
