We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding Commercial team in Byfleet, working on projects in our South East region.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the entire financial cycle of two to three contracts, from preparing anticipated build costs to procuring, paying, and evaluating subcontractors. You will also be responsible for monthly cost forecasting and reporting, as well as assisting in the preparation of construction budgets for approximately three developments concurrently.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the financial cycle of contracts, including preparing anticipated build costs, procuring, paying, and evaluating subcontractors
- Conduct monthly cost forecasting and reporting
- Assist in the preparation of construction budgets for multiple developments
- Work with internal stakeholders, including Construction and Procurement teams, as well as external contractors and consultants
We are looking for a commercially astute negotiator with experience in measuring drawings, tender analysis, and standard surveying techniques. You should be comfortable working independently and collaboratively, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
You will hold a HNC or HND qualification in a relevant field, and preferably be a member of a professional body such as RICS or CIOB. You should also have a background in construction, with previous experience as a Surveyor, preferably in residential development.
