Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Podiatrist to join our dynamic team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. This role is essential in delivering comprehensive foot health services to our diverse patient population.

Welcome Payment

As a token of appreciation for joining our organization, successful candidates will receive a Welcome Payment of £2000, distributed as £1000 upon starting and an additional £1000 after completing six months of service. Terms and conditions apply.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assessing, diagnosing, and developing tailored treatment plans for patients with various podiatric needs.
  • Providing high-quality podiatric care in multiple settings, including community clinics and home visits.
  • Participating in a mentored rotational program to enhance skills in specialized areas such as diabetes management, nail surgery, and biomechanics.
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educating patients on self-management strategies to promote independence and empower them in their foot health.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A degree in Podiatry or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Desirable Attributes

While not essential, the following will be advantageous:

  • Membership in the College of Podiatry.
  • A portfolio demonstrating continuous professional development.

Experience

Applicants should have experience working in a team environment and a solid understanding of various podiatric practices. Familiarity with current NHS trends and policies is also beneficial.
