Kitchen Porter Role

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented individual to join our Kitchen Brigade as a Kitchen Porter. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in the hospitality industry or seeking a part-time role around their studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, utensils, and crockery
  • Following cleaning and maintenance procedures
  • Helping with the laundry for back-of-house requirements
  • Assisting Chefs
  • Helping with deliveries and restocking
  • Assisting with cleaning chef stations
  • Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards

Essential Skills:

  • Good work ethic and ability to work as part of a busy team
  • Enjoys a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible approach to the working week
  • Methodical and clean worker
  • Enjoys following checklists and takes satisfaction from their work

Ideal Skills:

  • Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards
  • Awareness of manual handling techniques
  • Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety
  • Experience of kitchen equipment
  • Experience of handling dangerous equipment such as knives
