About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Arboricultural Consultant to join our established group, based out of the Manchester office on a hybrid basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with a team of ecologists to deliver consultancy services within a growing team of a large multi-disciplinary group.
  • Work throughout the UK, ensuring high-quality technical delivery, providing strategic advice on all things arb, and working closely with your ecology and GIS colleagues to provide integrated solutions.
  • Manage a diverse range of projects, across the whole project lifecycle from pre-planning to delivery, including preparing tenders at the start of projects, providing specialized advice on tree-related issues, and promoting and developing arboricultural services.
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma level qualification in Arboriculture.
  • At least 1+ year in Arboricultural Consultancy, with experience in visual tree and hedgerow assessments, baseline condition assessments, BS5837 surveys, and applying for and advising on felling licenses.
  • Strong skills and knowledge in identifying tree defects and diseases, and excellent knowledge of Tree Preservation Orders and UK Planning Legislation.
  • Full UK driving license, and willingness to travel throughout the UK, with periods of time away from home as required.

  • Salary in the region of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.
