We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team in our Yorkshire office. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing the compliance process, administering the portfolio, and assisting with planning and projects. You will also supervise and review the work of junior staff within the group, ensuring high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the compliance process, including the completion of self-assessment tax returns for wealthy individuals, partnerships, and trusts.
- Administer the portfolio, including the completion of associated tax computations and trust and estate tax returns.
- Assist with planning and projects, including identifying planning opportunities and ensuring technical competence and accuracy of the department's work.
- Supervise and review the work of junior staff, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to statutory and other deadlines.
- Liaise extensively with clients in relation to day-to-day compliance and planning issues.
- CTA and/or ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualified.
- Similar experience operating at Assistant Manager or Manager level.
- Strong technical knowledge of tax legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- 35-hour working week with flexibility around the core hours of 10am-4pm.
- Working from home allowance of £25 a month.
- Eligibility for the firm's Profit-Sharing Plan that runs from October to September each year.
- Eligibility for the discretionary bonus scheme.
- Salary reviews annually in October.
- Twenty-five days annual leave.
- Life assurance cover of four times salary.
- Private Medical - entitled to join on successful completion of probationary period.
- Contributory pension scheme.
