About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team at M2 Financial Modeling Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in providing high-level strategic financial support to our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Guidance and Advice: Provide expert financial guidance to senior managers and portfolio holders, supporting resource management and budgeting.
  • Statutory Accounts and Auditing: Contribute to the statutory accounts process and liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Cost Savings and Risk Mitigation: Identify cost-saving opportunities and develop robust business cases to mitigate financial risks.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Coordinate the preparation and submission of financial reports, including year-end statutory accounts, and provide in-depth financial analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and develop a small team of finance professionals, including Accountancy Officers and Apprentices, to ensure effective financial management and support.
Requirements
  • Public Sector Experience: Previous experience in a public sector finance role is essential.
  • Qualifications: A member of a CCAB/CIMA body (or studying towards one) and actively engaged in Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data, identify risks, and provide solutions, as well as effective communication skills to present complex financial information to a range of stakeholders.
  • Leadership and Organizational Skills: Experience in managing or mentoring finance staff, with strong organizational skills to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
